As penas futuras segundo o Espiritismo

No capítulo VII da primeira parte do livro “O Céu e o Inferno”, encontramos interessantes questões sobre a vida futura.

As explicações do Espiritismo sobre a crença na vida futura, não se fundamentam em teorias nem em sistemas preconcebidos, mas nas constantes observações oferecidas pelas almas que deixaram a matéria e gravitam na erraticidade nos diferentes planos evolutivos.

Há quase século e meio, essas informações são cuidadosamente anotadas, comparadas e selecionados e formam um compêndio que esclarece devidamente o estado das almas no mundo espiritual.

Quando levamos em conta a universalidade das informações, observamos que as pessoas que viveram em diferentes raças, credos, condições sociais ou intelectuais, religiões, e mesmo ateus, confirmam que a sua situação atual é decorrência do seu próprio passado.

Ao reencarnar, o espírito vem com uma programação geral, tendo como base os velhos erros e acertos, sem que isso determine um destino fatalista. Submete-se às provas e expiações que mais possam ajudá-lo a livrar-se do passado delituoso e fazê-lo avançar na escala espiritual. Há vezes que, além dos fatos da encarnação imediatamente anterior, há outros pendentes de outras passagens pelos planetas que já podem ser enfrentados. Porém, se forem penosos,

só poderão ser atendidos por um espírito amadurecido e com capacidade para vencer problemas mais graves. Se ele ainda não tem condição, as provas e as expiações serão ainda suaves, em atenção à pouca capacidade do espírito, no atual momento, e as mais difíceis ficam para outra oportunidade.

A vida do espírito na erraticidade e a sua intenção ou não, conhecimento ou não, aceitação ou não de encarnar depende da situação em que se encontra. A maioria dos que desencarnam na Terra continuam imperfeitos e sofrem na espiritualidade todas as conseqüências dos defeitos que carregam. É este grau de pureza ou impureza que o faz feliz ou infeliz no plano espiritual.

Para ser ditoso o espírito necessita da perfeição. Como isso é raro neste mundo, é fácil concluir-se que a erraticidade que circunda o planeta é ainda um vale de lágrimas, semelhante ao mundo material. É essa comunidade que nos rodeia e influencia os nossos pensamentos, exigindo de nós muita oração e vigilância.

A compreensão e a crença nessa verdade farão os homens melhorar para sofrer menos. Cada um tratará de construir com sabedoria seu próprio futuro para ficar livre das dores.

Estas notícias deixam claro que não há castigo de Deus porque Deus é a Lei. Não pune nem dá prêmios. Toda imperfeição, e as faltas dela nascidas, embute o próprio castigo em condições naturais e inevitáveis. Assim como toda doença é uma punição contra os excessos, como da ociosidade nasce o tédio, não é necessária uma condenação especial para cada falta ou para cada pessoa em particular. Quando segue a lei o homem pode livrar-se dos problemas pela sua vontade. Logo, pode também anular os males praticados e conseguir a felicidade.

A advertência dos espíritos nessa nossa escalada é objetiva e segura. Dizem que “o bem e o mal que fazemos decorrem das qualidades que possuímos. Não fazer o bem quando podemos, é, portanto, o resultado de uma imperfeição.” Observem que não basta não fazer o mal. É preciso fazer o bem.
Os espíritos advertem, também, que não é suficiente que o homem se arrependa do mal que fez, embora seja o primeiro e importante passo; são necessárias a expiação e a reparação.

Quando falta ao espírito a crença na vida futura, fica difícil ele lutar por algo que não acredita e, nesse caso, pratica o mal sem preocupar-se com futuras conseqüências. Por isso, é comum aos espíritos atrasados acreditarem que continuam vivos, materialmente, mesmo após a desencarnação. Continuam com as mesmas necessidades que tinham quando eram humanos. Sentem fome, frio e enfermidades, como qualquer encarnado.

Tudo o que acontece a qualquer um de nós está inscrito na nossa consciência. Dela não podemos fugir por mais longe que estejamos do lugar onde cometemos as faltas. A solução para ter a consciência tranqüila é reparar os erros e desfazer-se do presente que nos atormenta. Quanto mais demoramos na reparação mais sofremos. Não devemos adiar. Nas suas lições, já nos ensinou Jesus: “Reconcilia-te com teu adversário enquanto estás a caminho.”

No próprio capítulo em questão de “O Céu e o Inferno”, há uma indagação que todos nós certamente já fizemos algum dia: Por que tanto sofrimento? “Deus não daria maior prova de amor às suas criaturas criando-as infalíveis, perfeitas, nada mais tendo a adquirir, quer em conhecimento quer em moralidade?” Mas a resposta é óbvia. Deus poderia tê-lo feito, mas não o fez para que o progresso constituísse uma lei geral. Deixou o bem e o mal entregue ao livre-arbítrio de cada um, a fim de que o homem sofresse as dores dos seus erros, mas também o prazer dos seus acertos. E dando “a cada um, segundo as suas obras, no Céu como na Terra.” Esta é a Lei da Justiça Divina. Se assim não fosse, a vida não teria tempero.

O sofrimento, em resumo, é inerente à imperfeição. Livre-se o homem da imperfeição pela sua própria vontade e anulará os males dela decorrentes; conquistará nesse momento a sonhada felicidade.
